We’ve been using MacBook Pros from 2012-2013, the early days for the Retina screen models. That’s not a big issue for photographers and other creatives (and certainly everyday users), but video editors are needing more and more RAM to deal with highly compressed video codecs at higher bitrates and bigger resolutions. Video people were more than peeved last year when Apple’s most advanced laptops still only maxed out at 16gb of RAM. The message with this new MacBook Pro is “ More power, More performance, More pro.” The processor, graphics card, and battery improvements certainly help, but the 32GB Ram is the biggie here. All 15-inch models will now feature the AMD Radeon Pro graphics card, with 4GB of GDDR5 memory.īut the most important thing about these MacBooks is that we are finally getting up to 32GB of DDR4 Ram. The new models have also doubled the internal SSD storage capacity, now up to 4TB in the 15-inch. The 2018 MacBook Pro features new Intel Core processors, however, and the 15-inch version is 70 percent faster than last year’s model, if maxed out with a 2.9GHz six-core i9 processor, compared to last year’s 3.1GHz quad-core i7. The Touch Bar is still a key feature in this MacBook Pro, which works intuitively with FCPX. There are still 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (*phew*). Overall, the design and inputs haven’t changed from the 2017 models. Video editors rejoice: today Apple launched their 2018 MacBook Pro lineup, and the specs are looking good.įor our purposes, we’re mostly interested in the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the 13-inch MacBook Pro is also getting upgrades under the hood. Why not get the fixings and make you up a batch for Halloween?Ĭlick " HERE " to go back to the home page. The recipe is below, and their video is, " HERE".ġ 1/2 Cup Tangerine Juice (or Orange / Tangerine Juiceġ Tablespoon Powdered Lemonade (such as Country Time) However, at a whopping $3.99 per bottle, I imagine this isn't something people are picking up by the case load to drink.įYE Exclusive Ecto Thirst Quencher Tropical Sodaįor those of you itching to get your Ecto Cooler fix, and others like me, who want to see what all the fuss is about, Ghostbusters News posted a video in 2021 where they shared their own mock recipe for the drink, but don't appear to be the original makers of the faux drink. The Coca-Cola Company never intended on keeping the drink on store shelves long term, and this was obvious by how quickly it sold out in stores, never to be replenished.Īs an homage to the drink, FYE released an exclusive Ecto Thirst Quencher Tropical Soda. It wouldn't be until 2016, with the upcoming new Ghostbusters film, that Ecto Cooler would make a brief marketing campaign comeback. Slimer was removed from the package in 1997, and the name was changed to Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen until the drink was discontinued in 2001. Even Ecto Cooler itself has made an appearance in the various IDW Ghostbusters titles. It's shown as both ads in the panels of pages, as well as a drink. It got an updated package for the 1996 release, and this one is rather difficult to find these days.Ī fun fact about the drink is that IDW gave it a parodying nod in its 2011 Ghostbusters comic book series under the guise of Slime-C. The drink was so popular among juice enthusiasts, that even when the cartoon series ended in 1991, sales justified it remaining on the market. Definitely recommended that you not drink one if you find it. If you found one of these today, chances are high that it would have turned a disgusting black / purple color.
